They have several advantages over traditional cargo bikes, which are often only suitable for one type of load.<\/p>\n<p>A design study of modular cargo bicycles explores the possibilities of solving different transportation tasks with a single bicycle frame. The study is based on the concept that various attachments such as baskets, bags or trailers can be mounted on the frame as needed. The advantages of this modular solution are greater flexibility, better adaptation to individual needs and a reduction in material and energy consumption.<\/p>\n<p>Some advantages are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Flexibility: Modular cargo bikes can be equipped with different trailers, baskets, boxes or bags as needed.
