Project Description
The southern Baltic Sea coast for motor boaters
Four districts, two visions
Motorboat drivers. The trip through the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area, the Barther and Saaler Lagoon, over the Achterwasser, the Greifswald Lagoon and the entire Szczecin Lagoon offers the most beautiful panoramic views of the Lagoon for connoisseurs. The suggested tours for the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area and the Lagoon Waters and Szczecin Lagoon lead there. Further east in Pomorskie, the Pętla Żuławska (Vistula-Werder Ring) is still almost an insider tip. It can be reached from Gdańsk (Danzig) and is connected to the Zalew Wiślany (Vistula Lagoon) or the Oberland Canal. The two suggested tours for the river landscapes in the Vistula-Werder Ring and the Vistula-Werder Ring with the Vistula Lagoon take you into the natural surroundings worth discovering. It could go on without national borders. The international waterway E70 connects the west and the east via inland waterways. It begins in Rotterdam and Antwerp on the North Sea and leads through five countries to the Baltic Sea and up to Lithuania. The return route would be possible via the outer coast. The route leads through the Russian area of the Kaliningrad exclave and across the Vistula Lagoon. However, this is currently only possible for boats under the Russian, Polish and Lithuanian flag. So continuous navigability for all others – including the Pregel and Deime rivers – as far as the Curonian Lagoon remains just a beautiful vision for the time being. Nevertheless, there are ways to get from Kaliningrad to the Pregel Delta. Visa formalities must be completed, but the impressive nature of these undiscovered river meadows makes up for some of the bureaucracy. The Neman Delta, which consists of a labyrinth of canals, hidden piers and reed-covered banks, has a similarly attractive river landscape. The Neman Delta leads to the Curonian Lagoon via the Neman. The view of the dune landscape of the Curonian Spit near Nida opens up horizons. The Klaipėda, Nida and Neman Delta tour is perfect for getting to know this region. The cuisine on Bornholm is as diverse as the local nature. There are first-class gourmet restaurants in almost every port. The Bornholm Culinary Tour takes you to the hotspots over nine days. Those who set out to these still relatively unknown areas will be rewarded with new experiences and, in unseen landscapes, will get the impression of a limitless journey that could one day become reality.
