Whether in the pannier, baking box, picnic basket or briefcase, the plug-in flat design grill “bbq” made of 2.5 millimeter thick stainless steel requires little storage space and withstands wind and weather. Five individual parts made of solid stainless steel can be inserted into each other without screws or pliers. Ready is the grill. Due to its firm stand, it is particularly suitable for windy places so, for example, in a marina, on the beach, on a meadow designated as a barbecue area or simply for the balcony.
The good-looking grill master for sausages, vegetables and meatballs has a combustion chamber of 2.8 liters and thus already gets along with a small amount of charcoal. So that nothing more falls into the coal, the designer has thought along and made the struts with 6.2 mm particularly wide. The distance is also only 7.5 mm. Material and strut width cause that the heat conduction is optimal and the grilling result is perfect.
Air is supplied through the openings on the longitudinal and transverse sides. These are also cut out at the same time as the letters “bbq”. Due to the manufacturing process in precise laser cutting, these letterings can also be individually designed, for example, with specific company lettering.
The stainless steel grill “bbq” was developed and realized by industrial designer Philipp Sack, who has made a name for himself with unusual ideas with projects in the capital goods sector.
I myself am a passionate grill master and sailor. I’ve been annoyed with the unstable disposable grill solutions for a while, and the pack size of a larger grill is out of the question for a boat. Also, the assembly must be uncomplicated and can be done without tools and ultimately counts for me as a designer next to the function but also the appearance. After a while of fiddling around I came up with the solution of “bbq””
